Scars that were never meant to be uncovered, a story that should never have been told, and secrets finally unveiled. Such are the events that surround Charlie in his junior year in high school. However, it was not always like this. 

Charlie has lived his whole life being invisible, unnoticed, on the outside looking in. His family consists of a mother who busies herself with work. A father who abandoned his family, and a brother who is dead. He has one friend, who is not so much a human as he is a figment of Charlie's imagination.

However, the tables turn when he finally gets to talk to his long-time crush, and even have his story he featured in the school's yearbook. As people begin to notice him, Charlie finally feels like he might belong. But, as always, great fame comes with its own complications. Just as Charlie begins to revel in his newfound popularity, trouble starts brewing, and Charlie finds himself struggling to keep afloat and avoid being invisible again.
