Such was the love of Bunda to Maharani, her one and only daughter. Ever since Maharani was a little girl, Bunda always told her bedtime stories about Indonesian folktales like Malin Kundang, Bawang Merah and Jaka Jahrub. These stories made Rhani believe that happy endings do exist.

 

However, those innocent days did not last. On one fateful night: Maharani's house caught fire. The fire did not only burn down her home but also her relationship withe her mother and her faith in happy endings.

 

With the help of characters from the storybook who have magically come to life. Maharani begins a journey to reclaim her faith in her mother, herself, and most importantly in happy endings.
